BOM Organic Chestnut Honey

This organic honey is made by a fledgling company that started with the help of one of the brothers from Herdade do Esporão. It comes from northern Portugal, home to one of the largest groves of chestnut trees in Europe. The dark honey has a distinctive flavor that is slightly sweet with some bitterness in the finish. It has a high concentration of minerals and does not easily crystallize.
