Raclette Sapin D'Or
Item #: 7209
The world's most famous melting cheese, Raclette is made in the Alps. Made from cow’s milk, Raclette is a semi-firm, salted cheese with an aromatic flavor and a fragrant creamy texture. The name derives from 'racler' meaning to scrape and the cheese its pate melts well with a full, milky flavor, thanks to an ideal fat and moisture ratio.
Raclette has a semi-soft interior dotted with small holes and a rosy inedible rind. Eaten as a table cheese, Raclette has a smooth, creamy taste that is neither too salty nor sharp. However, our French Raclette tends to have a strong, pungent aroma that is not for the timid.
